119番通報について Dial”119″to make an emergency call(fire / medical emergency)
火事で消防車が必要なときや、急病やけがをして救急車が必要なときは「119」番に通報してください。
119番通報は同時通訳で英語・中国語・韓国語・ポルトガル語・スペイン語などに対応しています。
通報時は、外国人通報者と消防指令センター員、通訳者の三者が同時に通話します。
このとき、通訳者の電話通訳センターに繋がるまで、数十秒間かかりますが、受話器を耳に当てたまま、電話を切らずにそのままお待ちください。電話通訳センターに繋がりましたら、聞かれたことにお答えください。
日本国外から持ち込まれた携帯電話の場合、緊急電話につながらないことがあります。その場合は、公衆電話から通報するか、近くにいる人に通報を依頼してください。

In cases of emergency where a fire truck is necessary, or in cases of extreme illness where an ambulance would be necessary, please dial the emergency number 119.
At the 119 number, simultaneous phone interpretation is available in English, Chinese, Korean,Portuguese, Spanish, and others.
During the call, you will undergo a simultaneous three-way conversation between yourself, the interpreter, and the emergency service center employee.
When you first dial, it will take a few tens of seconds to connect to the phone interpretation service provider, so please do NOT hang up the phone and continue to wait on the line until you are connected. Once you are connected to the interpretation center, please answer any questions you are asked.
In the case you have a non-Japanese phone number, there is a possibility you will be unable to connect to the proper phone line. If such an event occurs, please use a public phone or the phone of someone nearby willing to provide assistance.
